Here at Netvouchercodes we’ve recently carried out a survey on over 3,255 parents to discover the truth about Baby and Toddler Tablet Usage.

As part of our survey we asked: at what age did your youngest child first use a tablet/ipad? What do they do on them? The top 5 reasons for letting them use one? And, how long do they use them for? The results of our survey showed that majority of kids started using a tablet when they were just 18 months- 2 years old. We also found that most kids use their tablets and ipads to go on YouTube, with most parents allowing kids time on their devices to ‘shut them up and get a break’.

Overall the average time kids spend on their tablets each day resulted at 46.8 minutes, which may come as a surprising statistic. Alongside our research we’ve also asked various mummy bloggers for tips on kids using tech- giving parents support and advice on how to manage their children’s tablet usage.
