A study of all-inclusive family holiday prices to popular destinations for first week of September 2016 shows an average saving of 26% to be had versus the last week of August, highlighting the huge hikes in costs coinciding with school holidays.
The prices studied are based on 7 night stays on an all-inclusive basis a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children aged 4 and 8), flying from Manchester in Sep or Aug in 2016.
The price differences relate to the drop in demand at the start of the autumn school term which usually commences early in September. However, for parents schooling their children at home, or with children at private schools where terms differ or for those willing to risk a fine by holidaying during term times, there are clear savings to be made.
