Blooming Direct Shopping Tips

Fill your living space with beautiful smells and vibrant colours with Blooming Direct sweet peas

Blooming Direct sells a plethora of sweet peas including trailing sweet peas, super fragrant sweet peas and patio perfect sweet peas. Choose sweet peas for your hanging baskets and indulge in an ultra-compact, a gorgeously sweet variety that will fill your whole patio with its unmistakable fragrance from May until September. In a ravishing mixture of colours, including some bi-colours, it will brighten any part of your garden, although it works best when hung in a hanging basket or another position where it can trail.

Sweet Peas are consistently voted one of the nation's favourite flowers year after year, their evocative scent and ease of growing making them so popular. Blooming Direct have therefore created a mix of the most popular colours and shades, including many old-fashioned types, selected primarily for scent when used as cut flowers. Their super fragrant flowers are ideal if you’re looking to create a beautiful smell in your home or in your garden.

Patio Perfect sweet peas are the very best sweet peas for any outdoor pots or planters. This cut of sweet peas naturally grows to only around 2ft tall and will become smothered in sweetly scented blooms from mid-June onwards, bringing a fabulous mix of summer long colour to your garden. As their flower stems average at around 6in, patio perfect sweet peas can also be cut to make a lovely posy in a small vase, while taking up very little space at all. These are supplied as 4 plants in each plug - plant them as they are and do not tease them apart; the result will be bigger and better displays. From earlier plantings before the end of March, you can trim them back to encourage side branching and thus more flowers.
