With four children and a back garden that doubles as a football pitch, mowing is the job that never gets finished in one go. That is what drew me to Navimow. A robot mower with no boundary wire to bury, so no weekend is lost to trenching the edge of the lawn before it can start.

I priced up the i2 LiDAR for our garden and it was listed from £1,099 when I looked. So I joined Navimow Rewards before committing. The account gave me 100 points, the email box added 500 and the SMS box another 500: 1,100 points sitting there before anything was in the basket, which clears the £20 coupon at 1,000. The mower order itself earns a point for every pound, so a £1,099 order banks another 1,099 points towards a coupon for the spare blades I will inevitably need. Treat that price as an illustration, not a quote; from prices move, so check the listing on the day.

Navimow also does not hide the boring details. The policies quote their day-counts and fees up front, and on a purchase this size I would rather know.

Join Navimow Rewards before you spend a penny

Navimow Rewards is free to join and hands out points for things that cost nothing: 100 points for creating an account, 500 for subscribing to emails and another 500 for the SMS list. Two minutes of ticking boxes leaves you on 1,100 points, and orders then earn 1 point for every £1 you spend. Points swap for a discount coupon or a free shipping coupon on this ladder:

• £50 coupon for 2,500 points
• £100 coupon for 4,000 points
• £200 coupon for 8,000 points

A point buys a little more at the £100 tier and above, so it can pay to hold your points if a garage and blades are on the list for later. Minimum spend, expiry and same-order use are not spelled out, so check the rewards terms ^↗ before you rely on one.

Refer a friend for £50 off their first mower

If a friend, neighbour or relative already runs a Navimow, ask for their referral link before you buy. Register through it and you get a £50 off coupon for your first Navimow robotic mower; once your order is verified, they earn 1 point for every £1 you spend, which on a mower is a serious pile of points towards their own accessories.

It works the other way too: once you own one, log in to the Refer a Friend page ^↗ for your link. How the coupon interacts with other offers is not stated, so read the terms at redemption.

Free delivery on mowers, and on accessory orders from £85

Every robotic mower ships free, tracked by UPS or FedEx, with a 7 to 10 business day window that can stretch during promotion periods. Accessories on their own cost £9 to deliver under £85 and go free at £85 and over: a single Blade Assembly Plus is £25, so a lone blade order picks up the £9 charge, while the 4-pack at £100 clears the line on its own.

Top tip: read the shipping policy ^↗ before you fall for a model. The store ships to the United Kingdom only and excludes UK offshore islands and Northern Ireland; if that is you, the stockist finder on the Navimow site is the route to try instead.

Consider a bundle with a garage and spare blades

Navimow lists bundles that pair a mower with a garage and a two-pack of Blade Assembly Plus, and the product listing ^↗ shows the i2 AWD and i2 LiDAR bundle prices alongside the mowers on their own. No saving figure is published against buying the pieces separately, so do the sum yourself before you decide.

Join Navimow Circle and the newsletter

Navimow Circle is Navimow's free owner community on Facebook, promising member-only offers, news first and prize competitions for lawn photos. The newsletter covers promotions and events, and subscribing is also the 500-point step in Rewards. Neither puts a figure on what members get, so treat both as early warning of seasonal sale events and try a Navimow voucher code from this page on top.

Navimow's returns policy is more conditional than a high-street store's, and on a purchase this size it pays to read it first. You have 30 days from receiving the item to request a return, then 7 days to send it back, unused and in its original packaging. Change your mind and you pay the return shipping plus a 10% restocking fee; quality or damage returns cost you nothing to send.

Cancelling before dispatch is not automatically free either, because a 5% processing fee may apply depending on how you paid. A 3-year warranty on the mowers

Cover runs from the later of purchase or activation and applies to mowers bought direct or through an authorised dealer, so a stockist purchase does not cost you cover.
