What are you responsible for in the Content Operations Team?
As a full-time student, I work part-time at NetVoucherCodes within the content operations department. My daily tasks typically involve checking through our ‘Expired Codes & Deals’ and testing to see if they’re still applicable. If so, I edit and load them onto the site and ensure all brand codes and offers are up-to-date and error-free. I also spend time each week checking and validating discount codes for a handful of retailers - manually testing them to ensure they work and offer the savings they promise. And as a student myself, I like to make sure our student discounts section is kept up-to-date. I know how valuable these deals are to people like myself so I’m always keen to keep them updated.
What do you love about working at NetVoucherCodes?
I love how rewarding it is to know that every day, as a team, we’re helping people from all over save money when they shop online. It’s a great feeling knowing that due to my efforts, users can come to NetVoucherCodes and use codes that actually work - because I made sure of it! I also love the flexibility of being able to work around attending college. It suits me perfectly and every day, I am learning valuable skills that I will carry into my further education. Working alongside my mum is also another great perk to the job.
What are your favourite ways to save money online?
I’ve picked up loads of useful money-saving tips while working at NVC. But one thing I always make sure to do is to shop in the sales! Pretty Little Thing and The Body Shop are my two favourite stores, so I always check NVC for any sale offers or codes before I checkout. I also keep my eyes out for any student discount codes. These are always so handy when it comes to shopping online and it means I rarely shop without a discount.
